Neath Rugby Supporters Club

Welcome all Members to the New Neath Rugby Supporters Club. Membership is increasing daily and you will soon be receiving your Membership Cards.

We are awaiting the formation of a Committee before ordering new Club badges. Hopefully a meeting can be called over the next few weeks to set up a Constitution and elect a Committee so that the Supporters Club can then move forward in the aim of banding together as many Neath Supporters as possible.

It is proposed that a Newsletter will be issued either via email or through the post in the near future advising of the date and venue of the meeting. Nomination forms for the positions of Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and Committee Members will be sent along with the Newsletter. I hope everyone will make an effort to attend the meeting and complete and return the nomination forms.

During the last few turbulent years the only elected body representing the supporters of Neath RFC has been the Patrons Association, a group which has done far more than just look after the interest of the Patrons of the Club. The Association now intends to create a Supporters Club, which will be open to all supporters of Neath RFC. The newly formed body will initially exist under the wing of the Patrons Association but will as soon as possible hold a general meeting and stand on its own two feet with an elected Committee.

Susan Williams has taken on the task of Acting Secretary and all enquiries should be directed to her until further notice. Any supporters interested in assisting with the setting up of this new venture please contact Susan on the telephone number below.

The aim of the Supporters Club is to represent as many Neath Rugby supporters as possible so that the supporters of the Club will have a voice to speak on their behalf on issues relating to the Club. The long term aim of the Supporters Club will be to support the current Board of Directors and any future owners of Neath Rugby.

Yearly membership has been set at £5.00 for adults and £2.50 for children under 16 and OAP’s. Membership will entitle you to a Neath Rugby Supporters Club Membership Card and badge, priority on buses to away games, information on forthcoming events, Christmas dinner dance, supporters events at the Clubhouse.
